I have eczema on my scalp in my hair. I have been to a trychologist & it has improved at the back of my head but the place where it started on the right side is still giving me trouble. It's so itchy that with scratching, it is red & lumpy & the hair is shaved off with my nails scratching so much.

Hoping you can give me some help & advice on what I need.

We've had some great success with creams rich in Kigelia Africana  for eczema. The fruit of this plant has been used for centuries for it's healing properties. I would recommend applying it at least twice daily to the affected areas and work it really well into your scalp.

I would also advise taking a supplement that contains a combination of Omega 3 fish oil and evening primrose oil which will correct the deficiency of linoleic acid which is seen in eczema sufferers.

I would also avoid any shower or hair products which contain sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS). This is a foaming agent and it's dreadful for conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

And take 15mg zinc daily. The deficiency of essential fatty acids such as linoleic acid may be brought about by a zinc deficiency, as this is essential for EFA metabolism. You should also add daily Vitamin A (7500iu), Vitamin C (500mg) and E (400iu).
